  • The Viper Room

This intimate nightclub, situated in the heart of the world famous Sunset Strip, is styled in the fashion of Harlem’s great jazz clubs of the 1920’s. They have 2 different stages: small one on the bottom floor and main stage on the first floor. The difference of small stage and main stage that in order to perform on the main stage you have to have a live band. The Viper Room has hosted big artists as Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen, Oasis, Queens of The Stone Age, Courtney Love, Natalie Cole, Elvis Costello, Pete Yorn, Lenny Kravitz, Pearl and others.

 

  • The Hotel Cafe

The Hotel Cafe is an intimate and iconic live music venue located at the center of Hollywood. Its coffee shop atmosphere makes it the perfect setting for any singer-songwriter or acoustic performer. Adele was actually discovered here at this venue by industry professional Alexandra Patsavas, which eventually led to her monumental musical career. Other artists such as Billie Eilish, John Mayer, and Bruno Mars have also performed at this quaint little coffee shop. It is a venue known to put upcoming and promising artists on the spotlight. 

 

  • Silverlake Lounge

Silverlake Lounge is located right in the center of the Silverlake neighborhood in LA. The lounge, which started off as a venue for drag and burlesque shows, is known to showcase the wilder sides of LA’s musical scene. This dive bar-esque performance space is where many alternative rock bands such as Silversun Pickups, Local Natives, and Tame Impala got their start. It is a great place to build traction if you find yourself to be an alternative artist, who doesn’t fit the confines and labels of current pop music. 

 

  • Canters Kibitz room (open mic great for hiphop)

Canters Kibitz room is home to one of the most popular Open Mic events in all of LA. Located in the Fairfax district, this venue hosts open mic events every Sunday night allowing artists and performers of all genres a chance to showcase their music. Artists are allowed to perform two original songs to the often jam packed room filled with audience members. You never know what youre going to get when you go to Canters, as it accepting of artists of any genre. It is so well known that superstar artists such as Mick Jagger and Sting are known to occasionally show up.

 

  • The Lexington Bar (great open mic with great atmosphere)

The Lexington Bar is a great live music venue located in Downtown Los Angeles that hosts open mic nights every Wednesday. Smaller than Canters, it is known to attract a more intimate and supportive crowd. For artists who feel like they’re still getting their feet wet with performing, this is the perfect location. Its dark atmosphere, quaint setting, and friendly crowd, allow the artist to easily settle in.
